May 29-June 5, 2017 Seattle-Tucson "Southbound" Excursion

We are planning the first public trip of the Silver Star. Our trip will be to Seattle in May and have planned it as two one-way trips: a Northbound trip and a Southbound trip. Our guests may ride either or both if desired. Our guests would be responsible for their own transportation home from Seattle (Northbound trip) or from Phoenix to Seattle (Southbound trip). Each trip features time off the train for sightseeing in Los Angeles, Oakland/San Francisco, as well as two full days in Seattle. Your private rail car is your hotel when in Los Angeles, Oakland, and Seattle.

San Diego Excursion

It has been a couple years since our last journey to the ocean shores of San Diego. Join us for a relaxing private car trip to the laid back life style of Southern California. The tourist opportunities abound with the museums and Sea World at Balboa Park; the Maritime museum and the USS Midway on the waterfront. Fine dining options abound with Little Italy just up the tracks; the Gaslight District and Seaport village are also close by. Always interesting is the Harbor cruise with the opportunity to see which Navy ships are in port. A trip out to Point Loma to visit the light house museum should be on everyone’s list. Travel around the area is as easy as boarding the Red street cars right at the depot where we are parked.
